The estate has its own two and a half mile stretch of salmon fishing on The Cassley.

Six rods are available weekly, usually with the let of Birch & Rowan cottages. The fishing is split into two beats with Rods rotating at lunchtime and with Glenrossal House retaining a further rod on each beat.

Salmon fishing on the Cassley is by fly only. The estate operates a conservation policy, in conjunction with the other rivers in the Kyle of Sutherland system.

The Ledge and Bridge Pools on the Cassley

Behind the cottages lies a small loch, stocked with trout, which can provide a useful testing ground for your casting technique or an enjoyable introduction to the sport for less experienced members of your party.

The Glenrossal Estate is an excellent centre for salmon, trout and sea fishing. The local area has many breathtaking hill lochs inhabited with wild brown trout and with the east coast 15 miles away and the west coast only 30 miles, the keen fisherman should never be short of sport.

The illustrations and table below show the beats of the Glenrossal stretch of the Cassley and the fishing times that are open to those who hire the available rods.
